Piloxing
|
|
PILOXING uniquely mixes Pilates and boxing moves into a calorie blasting, muscle toning, core-centric interval workout guaranteed to whip you into shape in a class that is both fun and challenging.
PILOXING is the brain child of Swedish dancer and celebrity trainer Viveca Jensen and the culmination of her mission to physically and mentally empower women through fitness. At the coreof PILOXING is the conviction that feminine is powerful, assisting women to attain a sleek and powerful self image.
PILOXING blends the power, speed and agility of boxing with the beautiful sculpting and flexibility of Pilates along with fun and sexy dance moves that reflect the sensuality in every woman. To complement the Pilates and boxing movements, PILOXING incorporates the use of 1/2 pound weighted gloves which adds a muscular and cardio challenge.
PILOXING is an interdisciplinary system of two extremes. The powerful feeling of Boxing, throwing solid punches, then transforming your body movements into Pilates and feeling like a dancer, are both at opposite ends of the energy and emotional continuum. Yet, both share the common principle of working from the 'Core' and they share the key Concepts of Concentration, Focus, Awareness and Control
The combination of Boxing and Pilates as the primary exercise components of PILOXING is designed to empower women to immerse themselves in a discipline that incorporates their true essence: femininity, control, sexiness and power! |
